Hello music lovers everywhere, today is the first time I made a simple post for a music blog entitled "How to care for an electric guitar". As we all know that the age and power of all things depends on the way we take care of them, no matter how high the price of the instruments we have will diminish in quality due to lack of care.

Why guitar should be treated properly? Because there are several advantages that we will get if we do care well, among the benefits we can achieve is as follows :

  •  The resulting sound will survive in accordance with the sound quality of the guitar when first owned.
  •  Guitar body will be protected from damage, either by us or by mushrooms.
  •  Guitar strings rarely break (long-lived) so it will make money-efficient spending.
  •  The sound of the string will last a long time and avoid fals
  •  The selling value is high because most people are more interested in buying goods in good condition even though they are used.
All the benefits that I explain above will gradually be felt by us as the owner if we really do the treatment, This treatment can be applied for personal needs or music rental company, for a music studio business company it will be very profitable because with the state of the guitar The more manicured it will attract more customers while for personal care a good guitar will come back again to us as the owner.

How To Take Care Of Electric Guitar :

1. Clean all parts of the guitar after use, for the body first clean the stain or sweat drip with a soft dry cloth, if the stain is not lost it can be cleaned with a soft cloth with a little water and liquid soap, try laps in a humid state (bukab Wet) to avoid water droplets to metal parts that can lead to rust do not forget to drain the water droplets that are on the guitar. After that lay the body of the guitar by using special polish materials for the car body that serves to protect the fade of paint, read first the material maker whether to scrape the paint, do not use the car body polish that can erode the paint.
2. For the guitar parts made of metal as in the tuning or drift tuner that serves tuning strings, tremolo, handle, and the back of the guitar body and baud-baudnya. Rub all the parts mentioned before by using cooking oil that is still clean, cooking oil is one of safe liquid material used for metal which is on guitar part because its not eroding and can prevent rust, besides cooking oil not difficult to look for it because Almost in every house there.3. If you are not going to use a litrik guitar for long periods of time then it is best to have all guitar strings removed first to keep the handlebars of the guitar in a straight line, then place the guitar in place eg softcase or hardcase, if you do not have both objects then You can keep it on a stand in a room that is not damp, enough ventilation that can make the air circulation to run properly.

4. At the time of mounting the strings should be installed in uniform, meaning that each round is done on a certain rotation in accordance with the style of our guitar playing, while for guitars installed in the studio music should rotate in accordance with the usual procedures, for example to mengencagkan strings then the round used is Turn to the kakan, and to loosen the strings then the round is used to rotate.
 5. How to keep a good guitar is: put it in a softcase or hardcase, put some camphor butter in hardcase or softcase to prevent small animals that can damage the wood on the guitar.

Things to avoid in caring for an electric guitar :

1. Do not clean the stains on the body of the guitar by using a liquid that can damage parts of the electric guitar such as essential oils, 4lk0hol, turpentine, tiner, and others.
2. Do not put the guitar on the floor because it will make the guitar become damp that can lead to the growth of mushrooms on the guitar, making crooked guitar handlebars, and changing guitar sound

3. Do not hang guitars on the walls because if the wall is damp and moldy then our guitars are exposed to the fungus as well so there is likely to damage the outer layer of guitar paint that we have, better put it on a special cradle to store the guitar (guitar stand).

4. Do not let the rusty string last long on the guitar because the rust will be exposed on the rest of the guitar.
